Being the General Manager of the Surf Spirit Retreat makes you not just the social host but the overall leader of the whole place. You are the face of Surf Spirit and the leader of the team. Your main task is to make sure that all processes run smoothly from the gastronomy & general organization side of things to meeting our quality standards in our surfing and yoga classes. You are in close communication with our coaches and make sure all guests are satisfied and their expectations are met. If they are missing anything, you are the one addressing it to the members of the team to make a change. You are the key figure between the Founders, the local manager and the international crew. You are the one person that is making sure our Surf Spirit Philosophy is lived by all staff in each week. Furthermore, you are the boss on the spot that is highly identified with the brand and leads the camp passionately as if it was your own.

Being the surf coach at Surf Spirit you are responsible that every guest feels well-informed, safe and comfortable in your lessons. You are aware that Surf Spirit aims to offer the best service including fun and professional surf lessons, which is why we hire professional, experienced coaches only. You are responsible for making sure that each guest, based on his or her personal surf level improves and really gets something out of your lessons. • are fully certified (ISA or similar) incl. lifeguard training
• have at least 3 years of coaching experience
• are a good surfer on different boards performing maneuvers yourself
• speak English fluently
• can stay minimum 3 months
• can coach all levels from absolute beginner to intermediate surfer
• will coach 5 group lessons per week (up to 10 guests) and guide up to 5 intermediate surf sessions
• can run professional theory lessons according to the surf spirit Surf coach guidelines
• are a great communicator and like to teach in front of people
• have the ability to provide professional, fun and challenging surf lessons for all level according to the Surf Spirit Surf coach guidelines
• know how to organize and host video surf analysis once a week
• can build a relationship with your local assistant coach to maintain a great environment for guests
• feel responsible for the equipment, clean and maintain it to ensure the quality of surfboards
• have basic knowledge how to fix small dings, change fins etc.

You are responsible for making sure that each guest, based on his or her personal yoga level enjoys your classes, is not over or under challenged and can really take something for themselves. • are fully certified in an active yoga style (Vinyasa / Hatha / or other) and Yin Yoga
• have at least 3 years of coaching experience
• can teach classes up to 20 people
• speak and teach in English fluently
• can stay minimum 3 months
• will teach 5 activating classes and 5 Yin classes per week
• can coach all levels from absolute beginner to advanced yogis and meet expectations of all guests
• are able to guide meditations, implement them in your lessons and offer additional ones on request
• have the ability to provide professional, fun and challenging lessons for all level
• are a great communicator and like to teach in front of people
• know how to organize and structure your lessons depending on each level and wishes of guests
• feel responsible for the equipment, maintain it and clean the yoga cabana before and after each usage
• can prove to have strong social skills and being with people energises you more than it drags you down
• have a high level of stress tolerance and can handle problems and hectic situations calmly, objectively and professionally

Being the photographer at Surf Spirit you are responsible for creating professional content sent to our marketing department, valuable videos of all guests surfing for the surf coaching video analysis and photos of all guests surfing for them to take home as great memories of their stay. You will also take care of our stories on our social media platforms and deliver creative and high-quality content daily. You have an important key position working for our surf coaches and social media manager abroad. It is therefore very important that you work reliably, on time and with expected results to contribute to a relaxed working procedure on site and in our German office. You are the creator of your own salary as you keep 100% of all sold photos to yourself. Depending on your content, communication and organizational talent you will sell numerous photo packages. In return, we expect you to support our surf coaches with videos of all guests surfing and our social media manager with providing a certain amount of content per month and taking care of stories as you are our creative eye on the spot. Other than that, working at Surf Spirit is not just creating content but providing an overall experience for the guests including joined meals, socializing and spending most of your time within the retreat.

• work with your own equipment which includes a lens for surf photography and a water housing for in-water photography
• have previous working experience with surfing and water photography
• speak English fluently
• can stay minimum 3 months
• are confident in surf videography so that you get good results for our weekly video analysis
• prepare and co-host the video analysis on a weekly basis
• are very well-structured and have a system in place to manage the content you shoot
• can work independently and have a good time management to deliver all needed results in schedule
• are creative and come up with your own ideas so that you can independently create varied content for our social media channels
• are a great communicator and organizer, so all guests receive their purchased photos in time
