Our internationally certified surf coaches take you on a surf trip 5 times a week. In each of the 2.5 hour surf lessons, our coaches provide individual, analytical feedback on your surf level. Once a week, all surfers receive a video analysis in order to work more detailed on improving their individual surfing technique.
So that you can feel comfortable and safe as a beginner or experienced beginner (Level 1 & 2), we first give you all the basic theoretical information in our relaxed chill-out area before we go into the water. We take our job seriously to teach you all the fundamentals of surfing. After your week in the Surf Spirit Retreat, you have developed a safe stand-up technique on the board, can drive the wave in a controlled manner, and can master your first maneuvers. In addition to these skills, you will independently recognize good and safe surf spots to be able to go surfing on your own in the future.
If you come to us as an intermediate surfer (Level 3), we will first check your current surf status so that we can then improve your technique and knowledge together to take you to the next level. With our experienced surf coaches, you will concentrate on the next individually necessary steps to make your improvement as efficient as possible and achieve the best results during your stay with us. Our lessons are tailored to the individual needs of every intermediate surfer. We often deal with wave reading, wave selection, pop-up timing, riding the best line of the wave, and introducing or improving the maneuvers (bottom & top turn, cutback, and much more).
Advanced surfers (Level 4) also have the opportunity to challenge themselves during our surf guiding in bigger and faster waves. This is an additional service for our surfers who already feel comfortable even on reef breaks. These sessions are offered in the early morning (Info: you might miss the yoga in the early morning). That means you jump into the jeep with your coach in the morning, he explains some details about the spot and gives you individual tips. Then you just enjoy surfing together. Structured guiding should be seen as a supplement to our surf courses. Please note that our trainers will check whether guiding at a challenging surf spot corresponds to your surf level.
